In today’s world most recruitment companies work on a “numbers game” methodology, get as many candidates as possible to apply for an open position. The theory is that someone within the numbers will interest the employer. This is discrediting and frustrating to the candidates, it’s a waste of their time and sometimes emotionally damaging. For employers the process is a laborious one, having to sift through a high number of CVs to hopefully find the right one, which in most cases is not right due to the outrageously inconclusive and fictional information on these documents. It is apparent that the majority of recruitment companies have got it wrong. They’re passing on their work to employers. Recruitment companies believe their work is done once they send 100’s of CV for one job application, they then sit back and wait to collect their commissions.
